Chris Thomas is a Visual FX Technical Director located in London, UK . His most recent role was as a lead TD on the latest Batman feature, The Dark Knight . He has worked on many other film projects over the last eight years or so, including The Golden Compass (winning the 2008 VFX Oscar), Underdog>, Xmen3: The Last Stand, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Thunderbirds.
Chris has also worked on high profile TV projects such as Building The Great Pyramids (a 2002-2003 Emmy nomination) and Walking With Spacemen ( both BBC / Discovery co-productions), and also the hit childrens TV series Tiny Planets.
Chris's main specialism is in lighting and rendering, he was a beta tester on Brazil R/S 1.0 and on other software projects such as Dataflow (an extension to 3dsmax's partice system Particleflow. He has also worked as a modelling team leader on various projects and from time to time works in character animation and particle fx roles.
