DVD one of the series is an ideal introduction of 3dsmax to total novices, it'll get you on your feet in no time. Whilst DVD two delves a little deeper into 3dsmax's workings and looks at the topic of Proceduralism, a concept at the heart of 3dsmax's design. Both DVDs are certainly worth a look, and DVD2 is a real eye opener for all but the most advanced users out there. |

We are proud to announce that four of our training DVDs have passed certification for Discreets DCLM programme. Particle Flow Fundamentals 4 - Tests, Forces and Collisions is released (21/02/2005) |

 Well I always knew this DVD was going to be large, but not quite this big. At over four hours and forty three minutes long this DVD doubles our usual DVD length and as a result we've decided to charge a suplement to the usual Fundamentals price for this DVD. Having said that the price is still great value for money and nowhere near the price of two DVDs (what you are in effect getting here).
Anyway enough of pricing, just what do you get? We'll in this DVD I deal in depth with each of Particle Flow test, which in effect are the "brains" of your flow in that they allow for the decision making processes that put the "Flow" into Pflow. Also on this DVD we delve into the various Forces that can be used with Pflow including a quick look at script wiring for even more control. Finally the DVD looks tt how to setup and use the six Deflector SpaceWarps to create and detect particle Collisions. A great DVD i think at a great price! |

A New Year at CG Academy!! (12/01/2005) |

 Well, Christmas and its excesses are out the way once again and its a new year for everyone once more. What does the new year ahead promise for CG Academy and our users? In the short term we hope to wrap our Particle Flow Fundamentals series soon with three more jam packed DVDs on their way (more on these on that soon). Also I'm pleased to say that Bobo has been hard at work preparing the second DVD in our MAXScript Fundamentals series, this DVD promises to be another hit with budding scripters out there.
Paul Neale is still working on the Fourth DVD in his intermediate riggings series though he tells me its going to be a while yet due to his heavy professional workload at the momment. Beyond these titles I hope to bring you more news on other new series, its just a case of being able to drag these talented guys away from their day jobs long enough to get these tiles out the door, the spirit is willing, but the schedule is weak (but I keep on battling away to get these titles out there).
The first "year" for CG Academy has been a great one I hope you'll enjoy the new DVDs we have comming your way real soon... |
